He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis A. "Louie" Pearse and Dorothy Pearse (Hoffman); his son Louis R. Pearse; his siblings, Bernie Pearse and Frances "Franny" Thompson; and his grandson Bryan Rutherford.
He is survived by: his close friend Kathy Clark of Kane; his children, Mark Clark of Kane, Todd Pearse of St. Charles, Mike Clark (Jaime) of Festus, Melanie Gray (Mike Turner) of Bethalto and Mary Taylor (Bruce) of Greenfield; his grandchildren, Sebastian Pearse, Dustin Clark, Kayla Kadell, Donovan Pearse, Tyler Clark, Jason Kadell, Nolan Pearse, Wyatt Clark, Mason Clark, Elizabeth Gibbs and Richard Gibbs III; his siblings, Cathy Helfer (Wilson) of Jerseyville, Mike Pearse (Sherrie) of Jerseyville and Kim Frank of Jerseyville; and his friend Dave Young. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to OSF Hospice or to the Kane Fire Department.
