With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Borkowski of Jerseyville, Illinois, who passed away on March 24, 2026 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sophia Borkowski and Robert Walter Borkowski; his siblings, Anthony, John Joseph (JJ) and Theresa Lacey (Merri); and his son Casey Borkowski.
He is survived by: his spouse Merri Borkowski (Meier); his son Brian Borkowski (Jennifer); his daughter-in-law April Borkowski; and his grandchildren, Casey, Noah, Ivan and Gemini.
In 1964 during his senior season, Bob was selected by his coaches and teammates to receive Tennessee Tech's highest honor, the Robert Hill Johnson Award, given to the player who makes the largest contribution to the team during the season.
