He was predeceased by: his mother Margaret "Peggy" Dufer (Lane); and his grandparents, Jack, Willa Lane, Donald and Elma Dufer.
He is survived by: his father Dennis Dufer; his children, Olivia Dufer (Kaden Manning) of Fieldon and Jackson Dufer (Emily) of Jerseyville; his granddaughter Harley Dufer; his stepmother Ellen Gough of Kirkwood, Missouri; his sister Kathy Stroup (Mike) of Rock Hill, Missouri; and his niece Sydney Stroup of Affton. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at 205 S State St, Jerseyville, IL 62052.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to his children, in care of Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville, who is honored to assist the family.
