Barbara June Vatovec Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara June Vatovec of Johnston City, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 18, 2025 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Orville Kee and Imogene Kee (Porter); her siblings, Vernon Kee, George Kee, Vera Bishop and Arnetta Whitlock; her parents-in-law, Anton and Jennie Vatovec; and her brothers-in-law, Edward Vatovec, Albine Vatovec (Roberta) and William Vatovec.
She is survived by: her husband Tony Vatovec; her daughters, Jennifer Vatovec (David Slocavich) of Florida and Julie Hilliard (Shaun) of Johnston City; her grandchildren, Jessika Reinert (Zach), Jenna Deaton, Alivia Hilliard and Max Hilliard; her great grandchildren, Connor Reinert, Chance Reinert and Grayson Woodard; her siblings, Opal Avery and Jerry Kee (Gayle); and her siblings-in-law, Maureen Kee, Judy Kee and Gene Whitlock. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Johnston City Library or Johnston City Lions Club.
