He was predeceased by: his parents, Dow Harper and Myrtle Harper (Cash); and his brothers, James R. "Bud" Harper and Jerry D. Harper. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Harper of Johnston City, IL; his daughters, Sherry (Todd Smedshammer), Cindy (Joseph Kovasity) and Wendy Sue (Sean Carrell); and his grandchildren, Abigail Kovasity, Maxwell Kovasity, Harper Smedshammer, Quinn Smedshammer, Arianna Carrell, Aiden Carrell and Oliver Carrell. He is also survived by his family, friends.
