He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Edwards and Alice Edwards (Samples); his wife Thelma Ruth Edwards; and his siblings, Paul Edwards, Lorene Becker and Mae Forcum.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Ellen Jones of Energy, Melba Yvonne Miller (Kenneth) of Winnsboro, TX, Sandra Kay Spezia (Michael) of Corinth and Lindell Wayne Edwards (Debbie) of Johnston City; and his nephew Kenneth Edwards (Shirley). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Pyle Funeral Home (1008 W Broadway Blvd, Johnston City, IL 62951). A funeral service was held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
