We announce the death of David Richard Zinzer of Johnston City, Illinois, who passed away on August 21, 2026, at the age of 64. David will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Zinzer and Betty Zinzer (Martin); and his brother Joseph Zinzer. He is survived by: his children, Cody Zinzer of Johnston City, Katee Burwell (Matthew) of Herrin and Macie Story (James) of Mansfield, Texas; his grandchildren, Olivia Burwell, Alaina Isaak, Jaxson Burwell, Jenson Burwell, Stella Isaak, Callie Isaak and Hannah Story; and his brother Victor Zinzer, Jr. of Johnston City. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
