She was predeceased by: her parents, Gurvis Adeline "Addie" DeBose Carlisle and Lorenzo Temple "Dutch" Carlisle, Sr.; her grandparent Pa Bosey; her significant other Jimmy Clinton Phipps; her grandparents, Wells, Nelia Cornwalls DeBose, Benjamin and Nora Bird Price Carlisle; her brothers, Bill Carlisle of Frank Carlisle, L. T, Carlisle, Jr. and Ben Carlisle; her siblings-in-law, Billie Carlisle, Dolly Carlisle and Lewie Miles; and her siblings' children, Jera Williford, Johnny Carlisle and Douglas Carlisle.
She is survived by: her daughters, Holly Kee (Roger) and April Phipps (Chris); her grandchildren, Adam Kee, Kaitie Done (Justin), Maegan Halveland (Matt), Kristen Mifflin (Zack) and Jordan Kee; her great grandchildren, Hudson Done, Millie Schneider and Johnny Roberts; her siblings-in-law, Darrell Phipps, Linda Miles and Clancy Carlisle; and her sibling's children, Heather Williams (Kevin) and Jimmy Carlisle (Jane). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
In lieu of flowers, Roberta's family asks that her educational legacy be continued through donations to either the Johnston City Public Library or S.I. Reads/The Dolly Parton Imagination Library.
