He was predeceased by: his wife Mary H. Hoppe; his parents, Herman and Anna; his siblings, Helen, Veronica, Philomena, Raymond, Edmund, Virgil and Allois; his son Dan Hoppe; and his stepson James Dodd, Sr..
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Timothy Dodd I, Stephanie Burke and Rebecca McCord; his grandsons, Matthew Hoppe, James "Jim" Dodd, Jr. (Melissa) and Timothy Dodd II (Catherine); and his daughter-in-law Linda Hoppe. He is also survived by three great-grandsons; two great-great-grandsons.
A reception will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421). A burial will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
