Barbara left this world on November 3, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Russell Mickelsen and Frances Mickelsen; her sons, Steven, David and Paul; and her grandchildren, Danielle and Liam.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cumberland Chapels (8300 W Lawrence Ave, Norridge, IL 60706). Viewing was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Edward Catholic Church (4350 W Sunnyside Ave a, Chicago, IL 60630). A committal service was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Joseph Cemetery N Cumberland (3100 Thatcher Ave, River Grove, IL 60171, USA).
