With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carlos Garcia Sr. of Joliet, Illinois, born in Chicago Heights, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 17, 2024 at the age of 52. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Carlos' memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May Carlos' journey be filled with peace and serenity, as his find rest in the embrace of eternity.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Joaquin Diaz and Maria E. Garcia Diaz; and his sister Alma Garcia. He is survived by : his wife Rosa Hernandez; his son Manny Garcia (Mandi Padilla); his grandson Enzo Nicholas Garcia; and his siblings, Teodoro Garcia (Rosie), Vicente Garcia, Javier Garcia (Mary Lou), Jose Garcia, Elvia Garcia (Dayton Dawson Sr) and Marina Diaz. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Sonntag Funeral Home (1500 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60435). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location.
