He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Coffel, and Ethel Coffel, Sr. (Clark); his siblings, Carl Coffel, Jr., Pat Piper, Sara Pere, Annabelle Saterfield, Fleta Stevens, John Coffel and George Coffel; and his siblings-in-law, Juanita Davis, Billy Wilson and James Dahl.
He is survived by: his wife Emily; his children, Donald E. Coffel, Jr. (Lisa) and Kelly Hendry (David); his grandchildren, Jeff, Jessica, Matt, Michelle, Brandon (Rachael) and Shanleigh (Billy); and his sisters-in-law, Mabel Tripp (George) and Myrtle Allen (Wayne). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
