She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl McDermott and Anastasia McDermott (Smith); her husband Roger D. Lonergan Sr.; her brother Michael McDermott; and her grandchild Tre'Lonergan.
She is survived by: her sons, Matthew (Tara) and Roger Jr. (Jennifer Smith); her grandchildren, Connor, Morgan, Brittanyrose, Sandy and Bunny; and her siblings, Donna Anderson, Vivian McDermott, Janice McDermott, Richard McDermott and David McDermott (Jodi). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, November 8th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431). The inurnment will be held on Monday, November 9th 2026 at 10:45 AM and at 11:00 AM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
