It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Florence E. Fite of Joliet, Illinois, who passed away on October 16, 2025, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Florence E. Fite to show support.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Martha Zack (Kalis) and John J. Zack; her husband Ray W. Fite; her great grandchild Alexandria Rae Stojanov; and her siblings, Wilfred Zack, Alvin Zack and Irene Sobieck.
She is survived by: her sons, Ray H. Fite, Jeffery Fite (Judy), Gary Fite (Linda) and James Fite (Mary Beth); and her sister Mary Ann LeMieur (late Richard). She is also survived by seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Homes - Joliet (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431). The inurnment will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
