He was predeceased by: his parents, Dimitri Bati and Marsoula Bati (Koukas); and his brother John Bati. He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline Bati (Maldonado); his children, Margaret Roesel (Chuck) and James Bati; his grandchildren, Max Bati, Alex Bati and Marissa Bati; and his cousin Panagiotis Zouganelis.
