He was predeceased by: his parents, Severina Soto (Muñoz) and Librado Soto; his siblings, Mary Boyd and Henry Soto; and his grandson Bryan Kokalj.
He is survived by: his wife Marian Soto (Block); his children, Robert Soto (Janet), Linda Kokalj (Kenneth) and David Soto (Kelly); his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Hines (Mike), Bobby Soto (Abby), Tony Kokalj (Kirsten) and Riley Soto; his great grandchildren, Raelynn Hines, Isabella Soto, Payton, Reid and Cruz Kokalj; his caregiver Maryann Giesken; his sisters, Mary Ellen Soto (Ralph Wilkosz) and Mary Esther Shaw (Wesley G.); his granddaughter-in-law Emily Kokalj; and his sister-in-law Lynn Soto. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Homes - Joliet (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431). A prayer was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church (201 S Briggs St, Joliet, IL 60433).
