He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Ross and Maxine Ross; his wife Donna Ross; his siblings, Stephen Ross Jr., Paula Avery (late Bob) and Joyce Johnson (late Walter); and his pets, Shane "Doodle" and Montgomery Scott.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Ross and Tiffany Hanson (David); his stepchildren, Lorie Hooley (Glade) and Robert Siblik; his grandchildren, Daniel Siblik, Allyson Freeman, Zachary Hooley, Catherine Hooley and Jakob Hanson; his great grandchild Lilah Maxine Freeman; and his sister Lisa Ashford Valadez. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends.
The military honors was held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 12:15 PM and at 12:30 PM at the Stone City VFW Post 2199 (124 Stone City Dr, Joliet, IL 60436). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
