With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gerald M. Pasteris of Joliet, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 2, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Pasteris and Josephine Pasteris; his son-in-law Arthur "Skip" Mutchler, III; and his brother-in-law Robert Puleo. He is survived by: his wife Virginia F. Pasteris; his children, Jerilynn Mutchler, Marc Pasteris (Carol), Michael Pasteris (Bobbi Koziol) and David Pasteris (Colleen); his grandchildren, Daniel Bene (Toni), Nicholas Pasteris (Kerstin), Maureen Pasteris, Sarah Pasteris, Rebecca Pasteris and Jacob Pasteris; his stepgrandson Mathew Mutchler; his great grandchildren, Dominic, Austin Bene, Cole, Beau and Layne Pasteris; his siblings, Sharlene Foscer (James Stusprert) and Thomas Pasteris (Mary); and his siblings-in-law, Paul Puleo (Mary) and Cindy Puleo. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jerry's name to the American Heart Association will be appreciated.
