He was predeceased by: his father Gerald A. Picard; his grandparents, Maurice, Alice Ardaugh, George and Ida Mae Picard; and his aunts and uncles, Marialice Horn, Leo Ardaugh (late Bonnie), Donald Ardaugh and Dennis Ardaugh.
He is survived by: his mother Eleanor Ardaugh Picard; his sisters, Michelle S. Picard of Joliet and Colette M. Schmidt (Ronald) of Plainfield; his nephews, Nathan P. Schmidt and Matthew J. Schmidt; and his aunts and uncles, Al Horn, Carol McCafferty (Thomas), John Ardaugh (Donna), James Ardaugh (Julie), Kathleen Thontlin (Russell), Bernadette Ardaugh, Rita Ardaugh, Valerie Ardaugh, Theresa Christofaro (late Anthony) and Susan Spring (Philip).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 9:15 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 11:30 AM at the St. John the Baptist Cemetery (404 N Hickory St, Joliet, IL 60435).
