She was predeceased by: her husband Leonard Capista; her parents, Frank Pearcy and Frances Pearcy; her siblings, Bob, Jim Pearcy, Virginia Long, Mabel Cibulka and Betty Beavias; and her son Len Capista (late Kathryn).
She is survived by: her children, Larry Capista (Lecretia), Lee Capista (Linda) and Linda Brosam (late Calvin); her daughter-in-law Betty Capista; her grandchildren, Brent Brosam (Datha), Christina Nations (Anthony), Amy Capista, Alan Capista (Theresa), Len Capista (Amy), Rebecca Capista, Kelly Petrovic (Jeff) and Aaron Capista (Maureen); and her sister Alene Gerl. She is also survived by many loving great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Life Church (714 Bethel Dr, Joliet, IL 60435). A celebration of life was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the Capista family requests memorials be made to Lightways Hospice.
