He is survived by : his children, Jerome Sullivan of Chattanooga, TN, Detra Alexander (Michael) of Joliet, IL, Vanessa Barnett of Joliet, IL and Dr. William L. Sullivan Sr. (Debra) of Chattanooga, TN.; his siblings, Catherine Barnett of Laurel, MS, David Barnett of Hebron, MS, Jerlene Hudson (Frank) and Rev. Marvin Barnett (Linda); his grandchildren, Jonathon (Marina) of Joliet, IL, Janae of Joliet, IL, Shannon (Desiree), Jacob of Chattanooga, TN, Perry of Chattanooga, TN, William Jr. of Orange County, CA, Sylvia (Louis) of Austin, TX, Sheila of Desoto, TX, Javohn of Joliet, IL, Anthony of Moline, IL, LeAnna of Joliet, IL, Darius, Jalmen and Mico; his godchildren, Kimberly Moffett of Joliet, IL, Trina Williams of Joliet, IL, Alesha Johnson (Shaye) of Joliet, IL, Aidan Robinson of Joliet, IL and Tameka Drake of Gulfport, MS; and his cousin Linda Vaughn of Temple Hills, MD.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church (1404 S Briggs St, Joliet, IL 60433). A burial was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at the Elmhurst Cemetery (1212 E Washington St, Joliet, IL 60433).
