It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Michael Howe of Joliet, Illinois, who passed away on April 13, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, James Louis and Mary Ann Howe (Sprinkle). He is survived by : his wife Paula Jean Howe; his children, Rob Howe of Joliet and Tammi Mercereau of Beecher, IL; and his grandsons, Kyle Howe, Tyler Howe and Bryson Greenwald. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Homes - Joliet (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431). A burial was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
