He was predeceased by: his parents, Giovanni "John" Costenaro and Catterina Cogo Costenaro; and his wife Jackie. He is survived by: his children, John Scott (Jackie Brandolino), Mike (Paula Wilson) and Lynn (John Magor); his grandchildren, Fallon (Joachim Ronning), Gianna (Clayton Anderson), Zane (Brier Van Horne), Katie (Eric Rath) and Jake (Mackenzie Leach); his great grandchildren, Lucy, Hennie, Nellie, Isak, Vernon and Ford; and his sibling's children, James, Jeff Borello and Janet Pandow.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Homes - Joliet (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431). A burial will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages planting a tree in his memory or donating to your local hospice organization.
