John Edward McCullum Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Alexander McCullum and Nancy McCullum (Patterson); and his sisters, Evelyn McCullum and Joyce Grant. He is survived by: his wife Karla M. Martin-McCullum; his children, Lisa D. McCullum-Harris (Karen), Jarrett E. McCullum and Kellen M. McCullum (Joeanna); his grandsons, Edward McElrath, Elijah McCullum, Alexander McCullum, Jarrett McCullum, Jr., Julius McCullum, Kiano McCullum and Idris McCullum; his great grandchild Yahnis McElrath; his siblings, Nobia Welch, Mattie McCullum and Ernest McCullum; his siblings-in-law, Tami L. Martin, Kendall C. Martin-Cooper (Walter) and Edgar M. Martin Jr. (Meera); his uncle James Carpenter; and also Gertrude Martin. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Homes - Joliet (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431). A burial will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
