He was predeceased by: his parents, Nancy Baker and Nathaniel Baker Sr. (Nancy); his former wife Geraldine Baker; his children, Joel Baker, Gary Myers and Janine Baker; his grandsons, Andrew Baker and Stefon Baker; and his sister Sarah Baker-Marsh.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby Baker; his children, Jolene Williams, Roxanne Baker, Darren Washington, Kim (Danavious Hurd), Lasonya Green (Anthony), John Baker Jr., Darnell Smith, Kerin Moore (Tracy), Shawn Smith (Chasity) and Nancy Baker; his grandson Jamal Norton; and his brother Nathaniel Baker Jr. (Karen). He is also survived by 37 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren.
