He is survived by: his children, John F. Savage and Jan Hannah (Steve); his grandchildren, Zachary Hannah, Luke Hannah and Madison Savage; his nephew Allan Kahl; and his close friend Brenda Schmitz.
He also volunteered at the front desk at Lightways Hospice in Joliet, IL prior to COVID.
