In the vast expanse of eternity, Jose shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Jose farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his mother Julia Hernández; his brother Julián Lara; and his niece Juanita Lara. He is survived by: his sons, Marco Antonio Lara and Fernando Lara; his grandchildren, Luis Fernando Lara, Viridiana Lara and Arianna Lara; and his great-grandchilden Ailiana.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Tezak Funeral Home (1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet, IL 60435). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (710 W Marion St, Joliet, IL 60436).
