He is survived by: his wife Sarah Wendel; his daughters, Alexandra, Ava and Alana Wendel; his grandsons, Shawn Wendel and Elijah Jones; his sister Lisa Smith (Kevin); his parents-in-law, Suzanne Petrek and Ralph Petrek (Susan); his siblings-in-law, Amy Petrek-Gerber (Brandon), Rebecca Vaughn-Harris (Josh) and Matt Petrek (Katie); his niece Jessica Zitzke (Drew); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Beckett and Reid; his nephew Kit Gerber; and his niece Joise Vaughn.
