In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Josefina leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Josefina may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ramon Batrez and Ramona Castillo; and her children, Angel Ponce, Crystal Ponce and Abigail Ponce. She was also cherished by thirteen grandchildren; one great granddaughter, and seven siblings.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sonntag Funeral Home (1500 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60435). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. She loved making natural face masks and handcrafted jewelry, always finding joy in life's simple details.
