It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Schuster of Joliet, Illinois, who passed away on April 11, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joseph Schuster to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Schuster and Lois Schuster. He is survived by : his wife Pat Dames-Schuster; his children, Burke Schuster (Dana) and Colleen Lawless (Ryan); his grandchildren, Keegan, Kaelyn Schuster, Sydney and Reese Lawless; his sisters, Sally Smith (Allen) and Margie Morris (Jerry); and his nieces and nephews, Shawn Dames (Joanna), Mary Ann Elberts (Justin Halliday), Lisa Foody (Marty), Daniel Morris, Christopher and Patrick Smith. He is also survived by numerous cousins and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 at 9:00 AM and at 10:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers and in honor of his life-saving lung transplant, donations to Gift of Hope (https://www.giftofhope.org) in Burke's name would be appreciated.
