It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Marie Darmata (Joliet, Illinois), born in DeKalb, Illinois, who passed away on February 17, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Samuel L. Darmata; her parents, Earl Rich and Leona Winterstein; and her brother Gerald E. Rich. She is survived by: her children, Donna Rider (J. R.), Debra Darmata (Sylvia), Diane Karr (Woody), Daniel Darmata (Amanda) and Darlene Baresch (William); her grandchildren, Richard Schure (Nobuhle), Rachel Niesman (Jerry), Jacob Darmata, Timothy, Kevin Karr, Emma Baresch, Annabel Carter (Jay), Noah Darmata (Kaley), Seth Darmata (Cassidy), Samuel Darmata (Wendy), Danny, Ben and Abby Darmata; her siblings, Marion Winterstein (Robert), Lane Rich (Terri) and Beth Miller (Bruce); and her sisters-in-law, Connie Blatti and Rosalie Charletta. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations to Make-A-Wish Foundation or Lightways Hospice in Joliet would be appreciated.
