We are sad to announce that, on November 13, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Karen Bellot of Joliet, Illinois. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Orville Rients and Helen Kruse Rients; her daughter Emily; her stepbrother Larry Hassinger (late Dee Dee); and her in-laws, Gene and Carol Jean Bellot.

She is survived by: her children, Audrey Johnson (Andrew), John Bellot (Susan Hawkins), Allison Williams (Spencer) and Jennifer Bellot; her grandchildren, Scarlett, Theodore, Calvin and Mabel; her brother Alan Rients (Susie); and her stepsister Diane Hammond (Steve).

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Support Center in Mokena.

She gave so much of herself, not only as a devoted mother, but as someone who cared for and lifted up so many others. Through her years at Sunshine & Rainbows Learning Center, her work as a Girl Scout leader, with 4H, and as a dedicated Band Mom and chaperone, she touched countless young lives with her kindness, patience, and joy.”
