We bid farewell to Lucille M. Cantu of Joliet, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 6, 2026 at the age of 83. Lucille touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Gerat and Mary Gerat (Macak); and her brother Kenneth Gerat. She is survived by: her children, Christine Forkal (Richard), Mary "Sweet Pea" Engelman (Timothy), Thomas Cantu (Irma) and Gregory Cantu (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Jonathan Forkal (Darcy), Jacqueline Roback (Nicolas), Jessica Forkal, Anthony Cantu, Reed Cantu, Gwendelyn Cantu and Olivia Cantu; and her great grandchildren, Beckett Forkal, Quinn Forkal and Theodore Roback.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lightways Hospice in Lucy's name.
