She was predeceased by: her parents, Esta Choate and Carl Choate; her husband James Donald Heinz; and her siblings, Catherine Beasley, Jim, Clarence and Bob Choate.
She is survived by: her children, James Donald Jr. (Janice), Ken Heinz (Bob Freeman) and Sandy Heraty (Mike); her grandchildren, Ken Heinz (Amy), Jessie Wunder (Rob), Ryan Heraty (Erin), Erin Heraty (Zachary Karlinski) and Maggie Heraty (Jeremy Green); her great grandchildren, Dominic, Kale and Cora Heinz; and her grandchildren, Michael Patrick, Reagan Taylor Heraty, Nova Marie and Robert James Wunder.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Lula's name can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
