With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Lupe Gutierrez (Joliet, Illinois), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Lupe left this world on July 25, 2025 at the age of 101, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ventura Marquez and Primitiva Marquez; her siblings, Candido, Rafael, Emilia Cristino, Maria of Jesus, Esther and Benjamin; her husband Weto; and her daughter Lydia Dominguez.
She is survived by: her children, Raul of Joliet, Ricardo of Chicago, Anna Sereiko (Paul) of Austin and Ralph (Eileen) of Joliet; and her son-in-law David Dominguez of Joliet. She is also survived by grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home (1500 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60435). A procession will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (600 Brook Forest Ave, Shorewood, IL 60404). A burial will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at the Woodlawn Memorial Park (23060 W Jefferson St, Joliet, IL 60431).
In lieu of flowers, gifts to the Friends of Sunny Hill, Inc. at 421 Doris Avenue Joliet, IL 60433 would be appreciated.
