She is survived by: her children, Brian Masterson and Gena Pilon; her grandchildren, Nina Pilon (Dalton Weaver), Grant Pilon (Holly), Abigail Pilon, Andrew Masterson (McKenna) and Alexander "AJ" Masterson; her great grandchild Lola Marie-Gray Pilon; her sister Janie Corso (Chuck); her nephew Michael Papes (Joan); and her niece Renee Arnold (Jim).
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Providence Catholic High School the Helen Merkelis Scholarship Fund (https://www.providencecatholic.org), the American Italian Cultural Society would be greatly appreciated or have a Mass said in Maria's name.
