It is with sadness that the passing of Mark S. Zon of Joliet, Illinois is shared. Mark, born on October 23, 1956, passed away on October 14, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Zon and Marianne Zon; his parents-in-law, Edward and June Shipla; and his sister-in-law Patricia Giacomi.
He is survived by: his wife Cathy Shipla-Zon; his children, Martin Zon and Marissa Rahmann (Cody); his granddaughter Sophie; his brothers-in-law, Frank Shipla (Kristine) and Edward Shipla; and his nephews, Joseph, Jacob and Lukas Shipla.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Tezak's Home (1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet, IL 60435). A prayer will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Chapel Prayer Service. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Cathedral of Saint Raymond Nonnatus (604 N Raynor Ave, Joliet, IL 60435). A committal service will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 from 11:45 AM to 12:00 PM at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery (2201 Theodore St, Joliet, IL 60435).
