It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Lou Campbell in Joliet, Illinois, who passed away on July 28, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Mary Lou may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Richard Jones and Velma Jones; and her brother Gene Jones. She is survived by: her husband Larry Campbell; her daughters, Suzan Campbell of Woodridge and Melissa Brenner (Mark) of Downers Grove, Illinois; her grandchildren, Elise, Grace and Matt; and her brother Jim Jones of LaSalle, IL. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Anderson Memorial Home & Heartland Cremation Services (21131 W Renwick Rd, Plainfield, IL 60544).
Memorials may be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association, in honor of her many family members who suffered from that disease.
