Michael J. Lapikas Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 18, 2025, at the age of 90, Michael J. Lapikas of Joliet, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lapikas and Mary Lapikas (Schrader); his brothers, John, Martin and Joseph; and his siblings' children, Jeffrey Lapikas and Eileen Eubanks.

He is survived by: his sibling's children, Deena Lapikas, Lynn Briski, James Lapikas, Richard Lapikas, Daniel Lapikas, Joseph Lapikas and Steven Lapikas. He is also survived by many cousins and dear friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 9:15 AM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Queen of Apostles Catholic Church (18 Woodlawn Ave, Joliet, IL 60435). A burial was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery (1320 E Cass St, Joliet, IL 60432).
