She was predeceased by: her uncle Jack; and her cousin Brian Lisula. She is survived by: her parents, Gloria Resco and Stephen Resco; her brother Daniel Resco; her children, Michael Ryan Smith (Rachel Maley) and Savannah Lauren Smith (Mark Andersen); her niece Mia; her great-nephew Stephen; her aunt Nancy; her uncle Jerry; her cousins, Lisa, Johnny and April; and her stepchildren, Erin Gil and Larry Smith Jr..
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home (320 E Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60435). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Misty's memory to the organization she worked for Association for Individual Development (AID) (https://www.aidcares.org) in support of mental health.
