He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Babaniotis; his parents, Dimitrios Babaniotis and Stamatina Babaniotis; and his siblings, Athanasios Tzanavaris, Maria Tzanavaris and Anastasios "Tom" Babaniotis.
He is survived by: his daughters, Aristea Halas (Panagiotis) and Tina Zubel (Matthew); his grandchildren, Sophia Orfanos, Dimitri Halas, Ava Zubel and Andrew Zubel; his great grandchildren, Leonidas Orfanos and Aria Halas; and his siblings, Christos Babaniotis, Kontilia Stabelou, Anna Zimaris and Popi Lambropoulou. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A prayer will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the All Saints Greek Orthodox Church (102 N Broadway St, Joliet, IL 60435).
