He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Chovanec and Mary Ann Chovanec (Jednock); his sister Cynthia; his brother-in-law Michael Grosvenor; and his nephew Steven Chovanec.
He is survived by: his children, Paul (Marissa), Kimberlee Byrne and Jennifer Blahnik (Gregory); his grandchildren, Allison, Jason, Noelle, Pauly, Olivia and Evelyn; and his brothers, Russell (Virginia) and Allan (Sheila). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
