Paul Elwood Evans Obituary
Paul E Evans passed from this life on August 13, 2021, a blessing for someone with advanced Alzheimer's. But Paul, a strong-willed person fought the disease until the end, as he often continued to try to do things he could do no longer.
His birth certificate states that he was born in Chicago on Nov. 12, 1936 to 'Helen Allen' and John Evans.
Paul went to Chicago Vocational School & obtained a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois, Champaign. His third job took him to Syntronic Instruments in Addison Il, where he worked for nearly 4 decades, traveling to many countries. As vice president of sales and marketing (and engineering knowledge), he was involved in some government projects, including a camera component for the first moon landing.
Paul's most important role in life was that of husband, father, and grandpa. Paul's grandchildren: Teresa Evans, Alonso Evan Cortes, and Jack Fair. Nick Kacich is Paul's stepgrandson. From babyhood on, Paul helped raise Alonso Evan and became his best friend. Paul loved trees, sports, building model planes and model railroads. This was his creative side. His contributions supported veterans, especially those who served overseas.
Married Pauline (Truempi) in Gesu Church, Milwaukee in 1963. Todd Evans was Paul and Pauline's first child Lana Evans and Desiree Evans were also born to Paul and Pauline. Todd married Donna Lendino Kacich. Todd helped raise Nick Kacich, his stepson, who was only 5 at the time.. Paul's brothers: Jack (Earl) Evans, James Allen Evans, sister Lucille Evans Morgan preceded Paul in death.
Paul is survived by Mike Anglim (Pauline's son) and his wife Cheryl Anglim, plus their children Jacob and Katie, sisters-in-law, Shirley Truempi and Norma Evans. Other survivors are Harold Fair (partner of Lana Evans) and many nieces and nephews.
