It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Petro S. Krafcisin of Joliet, Illinois, who passed away on January 22, 2026, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Wasyl Krafcisin and Johanna Krafcisin; his brothers, Nicholas "Nick" Krafcisin (Claudia) and Stefan "Steve" Krafcisin (Irene); his nephew Matthew Krafcisin; his niece Claudette Traversa (Joe); his great-nieces, Victoria and Cass; his friends, Rob Zapolis, Sue Lilja (John), Jeanette Loeber (Larry), Karl, Peter Schulz and Orest Szewciw; and his godchildren, John Krawczyszyn and Martha Kostiuk.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be made to Lightways Hospice (https://lightways.org) in Joliet or Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary (NBVM) Ukrainian Catholic Church.
