Phillip Keating Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Phillip Keating of Joliet, Illinois, who passed away on August 7, 2025 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Phillip Keating to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his son-in-law John Gregory Strauss; his parents, Arthur Keating and Elsa Keating (Peterson); his stepmother Edna Keating (Burns); and his siblings, Thomas, Dennis, Arthur Joseph Keating, Kathleen Elms and Mary Beth Barnett.
He is survived by: his wife Harriet (Krusinski); his children, Mary Strauss and Patrick Keating (Cindy); his grandchildren, Allison Macaluso (Dante), Anna Strauss and John Anthony Strauss; his great grandchild Ezekiel Macaluso; and his siblings, Peggy Stonich (William) and Stephen Keating (Mary Kate). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home (1500 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60435). A procession will be held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church (706 N Broadway St, Joliet, IL 60435).
