With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Earl Colbert of Joliet, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 28, 2026 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Colbert and Luella Colbert; his wife Margaret Colbert; and his brothers, Raymond Colbert and Robert Colbert.
He is survived by: his children, Leslie Wilkinson, Christine Klepfer, Robert Colbert (Teri) and Richard Colbert; his grandchildren, Jennifer Grimsley (Dave), Kristen Klepfer (Michael), Erin Weiss (Rick), Lindsey Fallin (Josh), Casey Colbert, Jake Colbert (Todd) and Kate Colbert; his great grandchildren, Colin, Madison, Gavin, Dylan, Peyton, Hudson, Elliot, Jack and Olivia; and his siblings, Joann Misewicz (late Jim), Mary Brown (late Roger) and Ronald Colbert (Dorothy). He is also survived by numerous extended family members, friends.
