He is survived by: his spouse Samula D. McCarthy; his daughter Marissa D. Adoyi-Usman (Daniel); the mother of his children Dr. Samula D. McCarthy of Chicago, Illinois; his children, Robert E. Yarbrough, Jr. (Leah) and Nigeria Revon Jaeela Sims; and his grandchildren, Joshua (Ashley), Natalia, Robert, Nathaniel, Thomas, Mei-Zhen, Isabella and Spc. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
