He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret F. Kolenc; his daughter Roberta; his parents, John Kolenc and Agnes Kolenc; and his sister Nancy Lou Belom.

He is survived by: his children, Kathleen Albertino (Michael), Lori Dela Fuente (Roberto) and John Kolenc; his great grandchild Elijah Salinas; and his nephews, Raymond and Richard Belom. He is also survived by three step-grandchildren.
