He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Lovati and Florence Lovati; and his wife Mary Louise Lovati. He is survived by: his children, Debra Lindstrand (Rob), Deanne Thorsen, Robert Lovati (Kim) and Roger Lovati; his grandchildren, Kagan Lovati, Christopher Lovati (Joanne), John Thorsen and Ashley Lindstrand; his great grandchildren, Landen Lovati and Regan Lovati; and his siblings-in-law, Chuck Parini (Barb) and Nancy Parini.
