He was predeceased by: his parents, Miguel Verdin and Petra Verdin (Santillanes); and his children, Nora Berglund, Petra Verdin and Mario Verdin.
He is survived by: his wife Maria Luisa Verdin (Rios); his children, Silvia Becker (Larry), Rosie Verdin, Yolanda Real (Steve), Robert Verdin (Tracy) and Veronica Salazar (Mario); his grandchildren, Jaime Becker, Justin Becker (Ana), Claudia Verdin (Mark Miller), Adrienne Real, Aaron Real, Erica Lucio (Robert), Jacob Salazar, Natalie McDaniel (Pryce) and Autumn Berglund; and his sister Elisa Murillo. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
